At IFAT Munich 2026
At IFAT Munich 2026 in Munich, we are currently engaging in direct dialogue with leading companies in the waste management and environmental technology sectors.
The focus is on concrete approaches to improving efficiency in waste logistics, particularly in the context of:
• data-driven route planning
• real-time fill-level monitoring
• integration of pay-as-you-throw models into existing infrastructures
Together with our partner T-MASTER SA, we are discussing practical solutions with our customers for implementing modern take-back and collection systems, such as mobile approaches and decentralized systems for recyclables.
These discussions clearly show that the industry is currently strongly shaped by three factors:
digitalization, regulatory requirements, and increasing pressure to improve efficiency within municipal structures.
We specifically incorporate the resulting infrastructure and system requirements into the further development of our solutions.
At BAS GmbH, we combine these insights with our expertise in infrastructure to put sustainable and efficient systems into practice.

𝐅𝐓𝐓𝐇-𝐀𝐮𝐬𝐛𝐚𝐮 𝐧𝐞𝐮 𝐠𝐞𝐝𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐭
When it comes to FTTH deployment, it’s often not the individual product that matters—
but rather how well components integrate into existing processes.
With the HomeRunPlus® Nano Inline Closure, we have deliberately developed a solution that combines multiple requirements into a single system:
· Compact, robust, and suitable for direct burial (IP68)
· Versatile use as a network distribution point or handover point
· Designed for efficient installation processes (optionally pre-assembled)
· Clear separation of access areas for network operators and customers
Our focus is on:
Developing solutions that adapt to real-world network expansion processes—not the other way around.

Many municipalities are currently facing a structural challenge:
IT demands are growing rapidly—
but existing infrastructure is often not designed to handle them.
• Central data centers are too far away
• Applications are becoming increasingly latency-sensitive (IoT, sensor technology, video, smart city projects)
• At the same time, there is a lack of on-site space, budget, or suitable server rooms
Current figures also show just how urgent the need for action is:
According to the “Future Radar: Digital Municipality 2025,” nearly half of all municipalities still lack a digitalization strategy, and over 80% see a high to very high need for funding.
The result:
IT is often integrated “somehow”—or projects are delayed.
What is currently becoming clear is that demand is shifting away from large, centralized data centers toward decentralized, compact IT solutions right on-site.
In other words, solutions that don’t require major renovations yet still meet the requirements for security, availability, and scalability.
We are currently focusing intensively on precisely these kinds of approaches.
The system shown here is an example of how modern IT infrastructure can be implemented in a compact and flexible manner today—even in existing or structurally constrained environments.

🔧 New in LineTrack – Maintenance & Service Right in the App
With LineTrack from the HomeRunPlus® family, we’re taking the next step toward the end-to-end digitization of maintenance and service processes.
Starting now, field technicians have their own dedicated section for maintenance and service right within our app:
✅ Perform and document maintenance on schedule
✅ Record repairs and additional service work directly
✅ Clearly assign tasks to technicians—without any media breaks
All information is managed centrally in the backend and the web interface—for maximum transparency and efficient control.
💡 Your benefits:
Less coordination effort, clear processes, and a seamless workflow from planning to implementation in the field.

🌐 Future-proof fiber-optic networks are built using high-performance products and smart tools.
At BAS, we develop products that make technicians’ daily work easier.
The FiberPen3000 is a good example of this:
A handy tool that makes a real difference in the field—
from neatly routed fibers to a long-lasting, low-maintenance installation.
It allows you to lay out complex fiber paths with ease, without putting unnecessary strain on the fibers.
A contribution to quality—and to more efficient fiber-optic deployment.
